Change= has been specially developed for young professionals between the ages of 18 and 36. Our location in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn is very special because the focus here is also on creative professionals. We have no less than 39 spacious studios for the creative professionals. In the common areas, the 39 creative professionals are given the opportunity to exhibit their art. They are also equipped with an additional shared workspace, where workshops can also be held!

Location

Since its completion in 2022, you can also find us at our Berlijnplein 10 location, in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn. This is the third residential complex established by Change=. The building has 7 floors, 600 studios, six beautiful courtyards and several large common areas where you can relax, work and meet with your fellow residents. Change= Utrecht Leidsche Rijn is located on the beautiful Berlijnplein. It has a nice shopping center within walking distance (5-minute walk) and is easily accessible by public transport. Both train station and bus station are only a 5-minute walk away. There are also a number of bus connections, so you can also easily reach the small nearby towns.

Our service

This Change= building is one of the most sustainable and innovative residential buildings in the Netherlands! All our buildings are sustainable, green and naturally gas-free.In doing so, we are contributing to a greener planet. You enter the Change= building by means of a keycard, because we work with a card system. You immediately enter the lobby area where you will also find the reception area. Our community staff are present on weekdays between 09:00 - 17:30. During the reception opening hours, they will be more than pleased to assist you. Additionally during weekdays from 14:00 - 22:00 hours you can also contact the caretaker if you have any questions. Does your studio have a technical problem in your studio? No worries, our maintenance team on site will visit you as soon as possible.

This is how it works

Our ready-to-use studios

At Change= you can rent a ready-made modern studio, approximately 30m2 or 40m2 in size. The studio you rent is the most affordable price available. You don't have to worry about buying a new floor, fridge, washing machine, internet, curtains and induction hob, because they are all already in the studio! You only have to move your furniture in and you can immediately enjoy your independent studio with its own modern kitchen, bathroom and toilet.

The modern bathroom has a shower room with thermostatic mixer, sink, floating toilet and is equipped with a quality washing machine with dryer function.

The Change= Studio homes

The studio homes are aimed at creating a living and working environment in your own home. These studios have their own entrance and are located on the ground floor. The apartment has a living area of approximately 40m2. They feature high ceilings, plenty of light through the large windows and a fixed staircase leading to a 12m2 loft. So, there are plenty of creative ways to decorate your home the way you want to!

The studio home is specifically intended for the creative professional. By creative professionals we mean independent artists, graphic designers, architects, product designers, writers, editors, filmmakers, photographers, media artists, but also people with a craft profession or artistic people working in the fashion, game and/or advertising industry.

Disclaimer: the use of chemical agents is strictly forbidden in the studio homes!

What will rent at Change= cost me?

The bare rent is on average €672,47.
The service costs are €300 and the utility charges are €75.These are the costs incurred for the elevator, building, glass washers for the general areas, signal guidance, cleaner, security, Internet/Wi-Fi 200mb, utility costs (underfloor heating). Service costs are an advance payment, each year you will receive an annual statement reflecting the costs incurred.

Deposit one-time €1200
You enter into a contract with Change= for one year. After that, the contract can be terminated monthly.
There is a possibility to apply for rent allowance. More information can be found on the website of the Dutch tax authorities.
You must set up an energy and water contract yourself with a provider of your choice.

Am I eligible for a rent allowance?

Whether you are eligible for a rent allowance is of course entirely dependent on your income, you can calculate this on the website of the Dutch tax authorities.

Change= has chosen to use a bare rent that does not exceed the social rent limit, which may make you eligible for a rent allowance.

Unlike the high rents you may experience through corporations and in the free sector, we make it possible for you to enjoy ready-made studios in the community concept at the most affordable price.

This is what we need from you

It is important that you have an employment contract, three pay slips, three salary deposits and a bank statement, with your name and address on it.
After the approval of the documents provided by you, you will be invited for an intake with one of the community employees.
If the interview goes well on both sides and you fit within the Networked Living concept? Then we offer you a studio.

Please note: there is a waiting list for the studios in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn. This is currently between three to six months. Sign up now and you may soon be part of our Change= Networked Living community.
